Our Domaine undergoes

a metamorphosis

Since July 2022, Domaine Hubert Brochard has taken the time to reinvent itself to better reveal the nuances of its great Sancerre terroirs. From a careful study of our vineyard’s geology to a sharpened wine signature and an unprecedented visual imprint, we have taken care of every detail…

COMBINING PASSIONATE EXPERIENCE

Two years ago, our Domaine became part of the Bollinger Group’s Crémant de Loire House, Langlois: a valuable alliance that has enabled us to strengthen our roots as a winemaker in Sancerre.

As a result, our vineyard now covers 89 hectares spread over the region’s 7 most famous localities (Chavignol, Sancerre, Saint-Satur, Amigny, Ménétréol, Sainte-Gemme-en-Sancerrois and Thauvenay), including emblematic parcels such as Côte des Monts Damnés and Cul de Beaujeu.

In December 2022, François-Régis de Fougeroux, our new Managing Director, entrusted the reins of our site and our wine signature to Rodrigo Zamorano: his long international winemaking experience, acquired notably in Chile, and his fabulous oenological precision are now guiding us on the path to excellence. Alongside him, the men and women of our team work hand in hand every day, united by the same desire: to (re)discover the subtleties of our appellation.

A SHARPENED PARCEL-BY-PARCEL VISION

Convinced that there is not just one Sancerre, but many Sancerre’s, we have carried out extensive soil drilling on our estate, plot by plot, with the help of the BIVC (Bureau Interprofessionnel des Vins du Centre-Loire). Thanks to these detailed geological explorations, we have been able to refine our knowledge of our vines, so that we can provide each one with tailor-made care. A third of our vineyards will be undergoing organic conversion by 2022, with the aim of having a fully certified vineyard by 2030.

This careful attention to individual parcels continues in the cellar, with isolated vinification in small vats, involving as little intervention as possible, to chisel out the purest expression of our Sancerre terroirs. We also age our wines on a case-by-case basis, using a superb range of containers: stainless steel tanks, concrete vats, old barrels and even amphorae, introduced in 2023 to promote micro-oxygenation.

The result of this patient and exacting work is a brand-new style of wine, unmistakable in its aromatic finesse, complexity and delicate texture.

REDESIGNED WINE COLLECTIONS

To accompany this breath of modernity and embody the rich expressions of our vines, we have naturally chosen to present our wines through three collections:

  • “Les Classiques” (the revelation of AOC Sancerre in three colors) ;
  • “Les Terroirs” (our finest terroirs, such as Château de Fontaine-Audon and Château de Thauvenay);
  • “Les Parcellaires” (our emblematic parcels, such as Les Monts Damnés or Le Cul de Beaujeu).

The final touch to our metamorphosis: our new visual identity, with its resolutely contemporary lines. Our new logo now incorporates a streamlined coat of arms reflecting the diversity of our vineyards, while our bottles are adorned with elegant packaging that gives full expression to the identity of their terroirs and parcels…
