On arriving at Domaine Hubert Brochard, Rodrigo Zamorano immediately recognised the unparalleled quality of the Grande Haie terroir, and decided to unleash the full potential of this remarkable treasure. Nurtured by the expertise of our vineyard team, the striking elegance of this parcel cuvée has made this vision a reality.
This white Sancerre wine is rooted in fifty ares of Sauvignon Blanc planted on our historic Château de Fontaine-Audon estate in the early nineties. This grape variety perfectly expresses the richness, delicacy and vivacity of these south-facing flinty soils. We give each plant our tireless attention before the grapes are gravity-pressed with the utmost care. Vinification in stainless steel vats and ageing for 12 months in amphorae then articulate each nuance of this remarkable parcel.
As a captivating prelude, the nose reveals a subtle melody of citrus fruits. Charmingly vivacious on the palate, it enjoys accents of creamy richness and intriguing white flowers. This bewitching aromatic melody lingers elegantly on the tongue, making it the ideal accompaniment to exceptional seafood dishes.
A year bathed in light, 2022 will be remembered for its unique brilliance.
The spring sun came early to Sancerre and shone even brighter in the summer. Basked in its warm embrace, the grapes developed a rich palette of aromas with a remarkable concentration of sugar. We began harvesting in late August, primarily in the mornings to preserve the freshness of the grape berries.
